Taleworlds have offered up details as to how modding will work in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. In a post on Steam, they praise some of the best mods to ever make their way to the Mount & Blade.
So we already know that a key feature in Bannerlord is better mod support, and so with that we should all be really hyped about the eventual mods that refresh our experience after vanilla. With that however, we want great, well-polished mods, instead of 'meh' mods that get the theme across but could have been done much better. With that being said, how about the modding community come together more as a whole? Now i'm not a modder, nor do i know how the mod teams went about forming for Warband, but if the community groups up to make a few really good mods instead of several with similiar general themes, wouldn't that be beneficial and even easier?Just a thought for discussion! People generally have different views for the direction projects should go. While it is idealistic that the whole modding community could band together to make amazing mods, in reality most modders work with others because they have the same vision, attitude and mindset for the project.
Not all people agree with each other, and it's alot easier to complete projects without conflict. One interesting factor is that Bannerlord will allow multiple mods to be used at the same time. I think many modders will take advantage of this feature and integrate outside mods into their own. In this sense I could see the modding community working together, although indirectly.
Obviously the majority of the mods that will be created for Bannerlord have not yet been started (as the modding system is not yet available). Yet there are a few mods out there that have dialogue written, objects created, and sound recorded, in preparation for when Bannerlord is released. One of these mods is, which I found while randomly browsing Moddb. The textures are really amazing, and I realized how much potential that the modding scene in Bannerlord will have.Which Bannerlord mods are you following that the rest of us should keep our eyes on?. I would like a Late Medieval mod. I really just want to cut apart mountain bandits with my Gassenhauer clad in full Maximilian armor. Also, it definitely needs to have a better map than 1257 does.
It actually keeps me from playing the mod with its dullness and inaccuracy. Europe is not 95% flat plain with 1% forest cover.A Three Kingdoms mod might be cool too. Also another Sengoku Jidai mod is mandatory!I'm not following anything though. I am content with playing Warband and wating for a sale to snatch Kingdom Come for the time being.
